Our last competition of the season was held in Pickering on May 28-30, 2010.

There were 22 athletes from our Interclub, Pre-Competitive and Competitive programs.

All together they won 29 Gold, 19 Silver & 18 Bronze medals. 

Six of our athletes were overall champions!  Way to go girls!!!

Provincial Team Results . . .

Our team received the Bronze medal, missing Silver by only 0.01 points.

1st Qualifier  Level 7  -  Orangeville

Northern Stars Gymnasts Shine In Orangeville 

Four members of Northern Stars Gymnastics Provincial team competed recently in Orangeville at their first Provincial Qualifying meet of the season. Attributed to their individual skill development over last season, all four of these gymnasts have moved up to Level 7.

Brittany Campbell moved up from Level 5 to Level 7 and competed in the 12&13 year old category, placing 5th on Vault, 9th on Bars, 11th on Beam, 4th on Floor, finishing 11th Overall.

Krista McDonald competed in the 12&13 year old category placing 2nd on Vault, 5th on Bars, 7th on Beam, 2nd on Floor and finishing 2nd Overall. 

Payton Gray competed in the 10&11 year old category, placing 1st on Vault, 5th on Bars, 7th on Beam, 5th on Floor and finishing 4th Overall. 

Sarah Worfolk also moved up from Level 5 to Level 7 to compete in the 10&11 year old category, placing 4th on Vault, 8th on Bars, 12 on Beam, 9th on Floor placing 12th Overall.

 

Congratulations to all of the girls who have shown great dedication and determination to reach their goals!  The girls are coached by the club’s owner and Head Coach Lioudmila Fedoseeva.

News & Events . . .

April 2008 - Huge Expansion !   With success of our programs and popular response we are expanding the gym to over 7,550 sq.ft in April 2008! The additional floor space will provide more space in the gym for additional classes, plus provide a larger entrance foyer, bigger office and change room areas that will better serve our growing membership. Thank you to everyone for the tremendous support and encouragement in our first two years of operations, the expansion will increase our current size by 50%. Our website will be updated with new pictures once everything is ready!         

NSG Selected as Pilot site for Parks & Recreation HIGH FIVE Program

HIGH FIVE was conceived by Parks and Recreation Ontario as a comprehensive quality assurance program designed to support the safety, well-being and healthy development of children in recreation and sport programs. Gymnastics Ontario has selected 30 qualified clubs across the province to participate in their pilot program to implement all aspects of HIGH FIVE training to support, advocate, and embrace a child-first focus based upon the principles of healthy child development.
